First Affiliate Campaign After Hibernation

After some nudge from Mellisa, I have finally decided to do a few hours of work to set up a direct link campaign. Uploaded it to google, get the payment sorted and then waiting for the traffic to come....

Well, hold your horses, not that fast. It seems to be determined to stay still!!!. After a day's stagnation, I decided to poke around, checked with the "Ads Diagnostic Tool", I found that I have paused all the ads at the keyword level. Duh, Smart, aren't we?

Went back to the Adwords Editor and changed all that, reload the campaign and wait.....

Weeellllll, this time, I get this :"These keywords are currently not showing ads due to the following reasons:
Reason:The keyword phrase doesn't currently trigger any of your ads."

From google's help file and some other user's helpful reply to the same question, it seems no one knows how long it will take for the campaign to be actually REALLY alive.
